Chapter Philanthropy

"To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand..."  "To minister to the needy and unfortunate..."

Every year, we participate in Dance Marathon on Western's Campus. We also support and take part in other organizations' philanthropy events. 

Phi Mu's national philanthropy is Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Gamma Mu specifically raises money for Prisma Health Hospital located in Greenville, South Carolina. Below you will can read about some of the events our chapter hosts to raise money for our beloved philanthropy. Our sisters have also had the opportunity to visit the hospital to see first-hand what our fundraising efforts go toward. 

Since 2009, Phi Mu has hosted our annual Phi Mu Challenge! Each year, the ladies of Phi Mu host a week long philanthropy to raise money for CMNH. Other Greek organizations compete against each other in many activities such as Coin Shake, Field Events, a Miracle Man Pageant, Pie a Phi Mu, and percentage nights at local restaurants. This is one of our favorite weeks of the year as it brings on a week full of healthy competition and the ability to raise money for our beloved philanthropy, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!

We also host philanthropy events throughout the school year. Events Gamma Mu has hosted in the past include Pie a Phi Mu, a button booth, Bowling Tournament, Valentines Sweet Treats, Mu Madness, and many more! We love our philanthropy and will always hold Children's Miracle Network Hospitals near and dear to our hearts!
