In addition to our own national philanthropy, we love to participate in community service events in our area. From cards for soldiers, toy and food drives, Ford Drive for Hunger, and various other volunteer opportunities Phi Mu loves to get involved.
Full Spectrum Farms: This year Phi Mu volunteered at Full Spectrum Farms to help with their annual Starlight Night Fundraiser. Sisters participated in cleaning up trash, serving drinks, helping set up, monitoring the house, and helped out wherever else needed.
Ford Drive for Hunger: Together as a chapter, sisters went to our local Ford place and test drove cars. For every car that was driven, Ford would donate $40 to the Community Table.
Mountain Heritage Day: Sisters volunteered to help with WCU's annual Mountain Heritage Day. We helped with parking, children's tents, information booths, and other activities.
Books for Kenya: This fall break, our sister Emily Martens went to Kenya with the Education Department. We made books for her to take to the children out of cardboard, paper, fabric, and floss.
HalloWHEEn in the Village: Every year around Halloween, Residential Living hosts trick or treating in the village where Greek life and other organizations give out candy. We love to participate because we get to see all the kids in their adorable costumes and provide them a safe environment to trick or treat.
